Book Report Project Update

The first part of the third quarter book report project is due on February 11th.
This part is the reading log.
Students are required to write three brief observations/reflections for each session read.
There is an accompanying paper showing examples that has been given to the students to help guide the reflection.
Students selected books on January 21st and were given six (up to this point) sessions in class to read and do the reading log. Students were told they are welcome to use their recess or any additional free time they may have to complete the reading and project. These times are in addition to their own time outside of school that has been used to complete the reading and project.
Overall the students have 21 days (Jan. 21st-February 11th) to have the book read and the log completed.
The reading log is worth 20 points overall.
2 points will be deducted each day this part of the book report project is not submitted.

The second part of the book report project is the comprehension packet.
Students need to write at least one complete sentence and cite the page they found the information in the book to answer each question from the story they selected.
The comprehension packet is due on February 18th.
The comprehension packet is worth 30 points.
2 points will be deducted each day the comprehension packet is not submitted.

The third part of the boo report project is the Figurative language packet.
I am offering assistance with in class right now.
Originally the due date was scheduled for February 25th.
The due date is being pushed back until February 28th.

Students have all materials they need to complete the project up to this point for the book report project.
