Be sure to write the paragraph number the information was found.
We will have an assessment on Poetry Collection this Friday.

Students have materials in their folder to look over.

Period 1 - Complete the worksheet from Poetry Collection pages 130 and 132.

Homework January 24, 2020

We began exploring the rhythmic world of poetry today in class. We will continue discussing Poetry Collection until most likely Thursday and have an assessment on Friday.
We will have a small grammar assessment on Common, Proper, and Collective Nouns on Tuesday. I will do a brief review on Monday.
The students have been doing great with their third quarter book report projects thus far. We have devoted about 30 minutes over two class periods to get the students moving in the right direction with the reading and journals.
The comprehension and figurative language packets will be presented and sent home next week most likely on Tuesday and Wednesday.

We began reading our novels today and filled out a reading log.
The reading logs for the I Survived book report project are due February 11th.
Our classes had the Poetry Collection spelling pretest.
The corrections will be due on Friday.
The test will be on Monday.

Homework January 21, 2020

We will have the spelling pretest on Poetry Collection tomorrow.
Students received the list today.
Students received all the information for their reading logs for the I Survived book reports.
Students may read copies of the book they own or may use the classroom copy in Mr. Walsh's room. However, Mr. Walsh's copies must remain in his classroom so all students have the opportunity to use them.
The reading log for the I Survived book is due February 11th.

I am going to present a 3rd quarter book report to the students this week. They will need to make their selection within the next couple class periods.

The pamphlet must be completed to receive the points and be used as a rough draft during the test.
