Homework August 27, 2019

Tomorrow we will be having a pretest in class on the Red Kayak Spelling words. Students will earn 100% and will not be required to take the test Friday if all are correct tomorrow.

Students are required to select 10 out of the 20 spelling words and write an original, creative 5th grade or above sentence in their notebooks by Friday. Students may complete the assignment anytime between now and their class period Friday. Students may also use two spelling words in one sentence if they wish.

We had a very productive first day!
Students will receive the Spelling list in class tomorrow for the story Red Kayak.
Students may study tomorrow night if they choose. There will be a pretest on Wednesday.
Students will not be required to take the test Friday if they earn 100% on the prestest.

Please remember, students should bring a book to school for silent reading in homeroom. Also, reading at least 15 minutes before bed does wonders for comprehensions skills, vocabulary development and a sound night of sleep.
