Language Arts - We finished Tall Tales in class. We will read Thunder Road Monday and have a quiz on Tuesday.
Social Studies  - Our Class Election is in full swing. We have selected our political platforms, chosen a party to run for, and discussed campaign promises and slogans. Here is our schedule for the next week:
Monday - Work on our slogans and campaign posters as well as a rough draft of our speech.
Students will get some experience behind a podium in front of the class.
Tuesday - Period 4 (my homeroom) has a quiz on election vocabulary
              - We will write our final draft for the speech
Wednesday - Period 3 (Mrs. Houser's homeroom) will take the quiz.
Speeches begin! Students will display their campaign posters with slogans, and speak in
front of their class as to why they should represent their respective parties.
Thursday - The speeches continue
Friday - Students will vote in the primaries. We will find out which candidate will represent their respective parties.

*Students may dress for their speech or bring in items (homemade buttons, Cards with slogans, small treat) during their speech*
