We will be having The Island of the Blue Dolphins quiz most likely Thursday.
Today our classes discussed clauses and complex sentences. We will put our newfound knowledge into action in class tomorrow.
We will also read the story and discuss theme.
No written homework this evening.

Homework November 2, 2018

There is no written homework this weekend.
The Spelling Bee preliminary test is Monday. Students may participate if they wish. It is optional.

We began The Island of the Dolphins today in class. We discussed and worked on theme, setting, and the vocabulary. There will be a test on the story next Thursday or Friday.

We made it through another month! There is no written hw this evening.
A listing of the spelling bee words have been passed out if students are interested in taking the preliminary test Monday.
This is optional for all 5th grade students.
There are copies in my classroom if students are still interested or students change their minds.
