Language Arts - Tomorrow for our Language Arts class we will have a D.E.A.R session. Students may bring in a book(s) or an electronic device which they have e-books on to enjoy the wonders of the written word. Students may not use electronic devices for any sort of games. At the end of our class, each student will “sell” the book they were reading by telling about the plot, characters, and rating the book to their classmates.

Language Arts - Students will have a small assessment up to Chapter 4 in their novels. Students are permitted to use their prepared comprehension sheets, however they will not be permitted to use the novel. Students were given a work session class today to prepare themselves for this assessment.

Social Studies - There will be a quiz on the Southwest region on Wednesday.
                          Students have their study guides.
We also discussed the election in class today. This website was used to discuss key platform stances. See if you can win the presidency.

Report cards were sent home today.
A paper was also sent home for parents/guardians if you would be interested in discussing your child's progress thus far. There will be no parent-teacher conferences this year as in past years.

                           We will have the Spelling test on The Island of the Blue Dolphins tomorrow
Social Studies - Students were given an option to take a retest tomorrow on The West Region.
                          This retest is optional for all students.  Students should study the same materials.
                          The first quiz has been graded and sent home.
